Dear friends

UPSC candidates of Hindi medium often want to know what we read and do not read during the preparation of the Civil Services Examination. Based on my understanding, study and experience, I have prepared this list of books and other sources.
This list is neither final nor best. Of these, you can add and subtract according to the level of your convenience and preparation. Keep in mind that this list is cognitive, and it is not mandatory to read and read each of these sources.

Books-


History- NCERT from Class 6 to 12, 'Short History of Modern India' of Spectrum and Bipin Chandra's 'India After Independence'
Geography - NCERT from class 6 to 12, if needed, then the book of Mahesh Chandra Baranwal or Majid Hussain or GC Lyong.
Along with Oxford or Blackswan's School Atlas

Rajyavasthya - Indian Political System (M. Laxmikant) and Indian Government (M. Laxmikant)

Economy - Indian Economy (Ramesh Singh or Lal & Lal's book), NCERT from 9 to 12, 'Economic Survey' and 'Budget' published by the government. mrunal's video lecture.

Ecology - eco-book published by NCERT and Examination Vani (Allahabad).

Science and Technology- NCERT's Books and Current Affairs from 6th to 10th Class.
Indian culture - History of Indian art from the book of NCERT of Pushpa Bist Sinha (Jawahar Book Depot, Delhi) and Phinean Arts
Internal Security - Ashok Kumar and Vipul (published from Tata McGraw Hill)

International Relations- Any good coaching notes and mea.gov.in website of the Ministry of External Affairs

Indian Society- Books of NCERT of Shyamcharan Dubey (National Book Trust) or Ram Ahuja's book and sociology of 11th-12th grade

Ethics- The book of NCERT of psychology (summarily), some good writers' books General Reading Habit. Understand the philosophy of Vedanta, Buddhism, Jain philosophy and Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore, Ambedkar and Vivekananda in Indian philosophy. Well live on the ethics. Can read Subbarao's book.

Essay - 'Essay Vision' book (published by Dr. Vikas Divyakirti and Nant Jain, Vision Publications, Delhi)
At the same time, various books published by National Book Trust or Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting



Current Affairs


Newspaper- The Hindu and Dainik Jagran (National edition), Dainik Bhaskar can also read. Business Standard (Hindi) 'Economic Issues) and Editorial Page

Magazines - 'Plan', 'Kurukshetra', 'Vision Current Affairs Today' or 'Chronicle' (one of the two), if found, 'Frontline' can also be read.
'India Year Book' (India), published by the Government of India At the same time, prepare well the latest economic and social welfare schemes of the Government of India.

For the development of thinking and language-style - 'Aaha Zindagi' and 'Kadambini' magazines.

Radio-TV-


Akashwani, DD News, Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha TV

In Fursat, TV serials - 'Satyamev Jayate', 'Prime Minister' can see the 'Constitution' and 'India A Search' episodes.
